Can I suggest the feature be called something more like "Use Existing Profile".
"Import" suggests finding a foreign (profile) format, and converting it to a
separate native (profile) format, thus giving two separate copies. This feature
seems to suggest using an existing (native Mozilla) profile, so it's more like
linking than importing.
If my synopsis is correct, I would suggest the bug summary be changed accordingly.
Sounds like a really useful feature.

If I understand this bug correctly, it's very similar to bug 17457.
Suggest possible duplicate.
