Howdy. I was wondering if Mozilla did anything with NT 4.0 Workstation's MMC (Microsoft Management Console). The reason I ask is that I use SQL Server's Enterprise Manager (7.0 sp 1, about to move to sp3) about as much as I use Moz, and I've noticed that running one of these two programs can cause the other not to run, and the link seems to be MMC. If I go kill the MMC, Moz/SQL Server (whichever one I was trying to run) will suddenly start up. I'm using SP5 and MMC 1.1 (I will go download the latest MMC and see if anything changes). I have no idea what the MMC service is, but I think something's going on. Any help appreciated. (This has been happening since before .8, and I'm currently using 2001042920)
Could this be more DDE trouble?
That was what i thought when i first read the bugmail, but then i remembered that it's nt, and most of the DDE problems haven't happened to me on w2k. reporter, please try to follow the steps at http://www.mozilla.org/quality/help/dependency-walker.html attach a zip file (application/zip) containing logs. we'll see if the hang is at the right point... Or we could wait <3days for the DDE code fix to be checked in
I downloaded it and am running it, and, naturally, it works now. :| If I see something in the next couple of days, I'll upload it. Do I need to do anything special if I'm start it multiple times during the day? Thanks again!
not really, just running it from the profile command [and keep one dwi file for a successful load/quit].
