From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux 2.4.2-2 i686; en-US; rv:0.9) Gecko/20010507 BuildID: 2001050716 When you click on the link "gmmusic" down on the page at http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/gmmusic/gmmusic Mozilla crashes reproducible. This was not the case in 0.8.1 ! Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. go to http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/gmmusic/gmmusic 2. click on gmmusic down on the page 3. nothing happens. 4. click again Actual Results: browser crashes Expected Results: Mozilla should have displayed the page behind the link
Does not crash under WinNT 4.0sp6, neither with 0.9 release nor the 2001-05-01-06 nightly. Linux-specific problem?
I'm using build 2001050721 in Linux. If I go to the url, there's 2 'gmmusic' links. Which link causes the crash for you? If I click on either link I'm taken to the relvant page, first time, no crash.

WFM - Windows 2000 Pro SP1. Using 0.9 release, build ID: 2001050515.
Works for me on Linux 2.4.4 with build 2001050808
i don't crash too (he means the 2nd link, which opens a new dir view).

OK, here we go again. I've reproduced this bug twice today. Here are my detailed steps: 1. access URL "http://sourceforge.net/projects/gmmusic/" (I've got a bookmark in the personal toolbar folder for it, which I use. This bookmark is in the first position) 2. Click on Link "Browse CVS" 3. Click on Link "gmmusic" 4. Click on the Link "gmmusic" at the bottom of the page (the one with the folder symbol next to it) ... nothing happens ... the URL is not loaded ... 5. Wait ten seconds or more - the browsers' activity symbol doesn't move, so we can be sure, that there's no page loading activity 6. Click on the Link "gmmusic" at the bottom of the page again (the one with the folder symbol next to it) Got the crash? For me, it works reproducible. System: RedHat 7.1 on a Pentium II, 400 MHz, 256 MB RAM, 136MB Swap. ~130MB virtual memory is still free. Running Mozilla Build 2001050716 (from your download pages for Linux, I used the RedHat RPMs) on the Ximian-Gnome 1.4 desktop. Does this info help you a bit more?
I've just followed your steps in Build 2001050721 in Linux (Red Hat 6.2) and Mozilla doesn't crash.
Reporter, can you attach a stack trace for the crash?
unable to reproduce crash on SuSE 7.0, build 052213
Worksforme: Redhat 7.1 Build 2001050521. Given that this isn't reproducible by anyone here, Marking WORKSFORME. This is more likely an issue with your OS Setup. A few points of note however: 1> Ximian installs it's own version of Mozilla, AND another RPM related to mozilla, libnspr4. Due to the way Mozilla libraries are named it's possible it is conflicting as well. Have a look.
