From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.5; Windows NT 5.0) BuildID: I think My Sidebar is a great idea which can be improved even further with a little improvement to the look of the sidebar. Right now, if you add 5 tabs, you have very little space left for the content of the selected tab. I have an alternative view which allows for many tabs to be available but only one showing at anyone time. Reproducible: Couldn't Reproduce Expected Results: Please see the picture below which i have made to show what the tab selection should look like. This can be very similar to the bookmarks. The My Tabs folder can have user installed tabs, Mozilla Tabs can have the mozilla tools like tinderbox etc. and the Tools Tab can have things like Bookmarks, History, Address book, Window Explorer like thing, etc. you can view it here: http://y42.briefcase.yahoo.com/bc/nacheeze/vwp?.dir=/&.dnm=sidebar_idea.JPG&.src =bc&.view=t&.hires=t I hope this give you a user's prospective.

Since the address book tab has been implemented, this bug gets more and more interesting. - couldn't this title be more explicit? -> 'Minimize/Maximize tab in sidebar' (I wanted to file it and I spent some time reading all the sidebar-related bugs) - imho, you shouldn't add un-aesthetic buttons, a simple click on the tab title could be sufficient to minimize or maximize it (conflict with bug 34925). - to get as more space as possible, maximizing a tab should also get rid of My sidebar Tabs>

The summary doesn't explain anything. The link is dead. The title doesn't explain anything. Someone please explain what this bug is about.
The link isn't dead. It has been sliced in two. A couple of cut&paste's is all thats needed. (The above helpgul hint should not be taken as an indorsement of this idea)
Attached image mock image showing the idea (deleted) —
This is the image which shows the idea. I thought i should upload it before Yahoo starts charging for searches as well.

MASS-CHANGE: This bug report is registered in the SeaMonkey product, but still has no comment since the inception of the SeaMonkey project 5 years ago. Because of this, we're resolving the bug as EXPIRED. If you still can reproduce the bug on SeaMonkey 2 or otherwise think it's still valid, please REOPEN it and if it is a platform or toolkit issue, move it to the according component.
