When querying the bugzilla database the cgi spits out lots of "--
ThisRandomString". Most of the time this is just annoying, but sometimes (if
you try and get a list of all the bugs in NGLayout for instance) it puts it
infront of the MIME header confusing the browser somewhat.

What browser are you using?
This is a legitimate "server-push" document. It ought to just work. It works
for me (using Netscape 4.05).
Latest IE4 - 4.72.3110.8
Unfortunately the only other browser I have on this machine is NGLayout which
is even less helpful atm :-)

OK, I had heard one other claim that IE was choking on server-push pages.
I'm surprised; server-push has been around for a long time. Oh, well.
I've changed the summary of this bug. I guess if I can correctly parse the
user-agent, I can hack this. Blech. Can you tell me what the user-agent string
that your IE4 is sending? (One easy way to find out is to start entering a new
bug; I give the user-agent string back to you at the bottom.)
According to Bugzilla the user agent string is:-
Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.01; Windows 95)

Fixed by a change to buglist.cgi. (Well, except I can't completely test it,
since I don't have IE installed anywhere.)
You don't have IE installed? You supprise me! :-)
Well, if I run the same bugzilla query that caused the original problem, I
still get some unwanted stuff on screen (like the cookie), but the page does
indeed render, so I'm happy! Cheers.

The database is being reorganized a bit. Instead of the Bugzilla product,
a new Webtools product has been created, with Bugzilla being a component of it.
This bug is being moved from the old Bugzilla product to the new Webtools
product.
