found with a linux debug [13:37 pull]. 1. in the Preferences dialog, go to the Themes panel. 2. select classic and click the Apply Classic button [or, modern/Apply Modern if your current theme is classic]. 3. the theme switches to classic [or, modern], but then try to dismiss the prefs dialog by clicking the OK button or hitting return. console output: JavaScript error: chrome://communicator/content/pref/nsPrefWindow.js line 211: this.wsm.contentArea.document has no properties patty, hewitt or blake: not sure if this is already known. my queries didn't find an existing bug for this.
