From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:0.9+) Gecko/20010531
BuildID: 2001053104
After downloading 2001053104 build, I changed from Modern to Classic.
Now, when attempting to change back to Modern, nothing happens when I click on
the "Apply Modern" button.
I didn't get any errors, or crashes, during any of this.
Reproducible: Always
Actual Results: Cannot change back to Modern.
Expected Results: Should get the Modern theme.

I can confirm this on 2001060409 on Win2K.
The Apply Modern button in the prefs dialog has no effect.
Workaround:
Apply Modern Theme from the View Menu
Status: UNCONFIRMED → NEW
Ever confirmed: true

wfm with win2k build 20010604.. (CVS opt)
Using View Menu to change back to Modern works.
So, the problem isn't with the theme, or the application of the theme, but
rather the method used to apply the theme. That is, View-ApplyTheme works, but
Edit-Preferences-Appearance-Themes doesn't.
Also, I don't think this is a dup of bug 79821 as I don't get any Java errors.

Changing component to Prefs based on dgk@lr.net's comments.
Component: Themes → Preferences
It is dup of bug 79821 (it surfaces in various manners -- but the root cause
is that a Javascript property is not working).

Resolution: --- → DUPLICATE
Since 85015 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. This bug
should reopen though.
"apply modern" button in the preferenes dialog seems working fine now.
Marking verified on the "branch build:(2001-06-07-13-0.9.1).
