fyi, on the Mac 1999-071208-m8 build, the blue line or delimiter does appear in the message once the message has been sent and received on a Communicator 4.x client. Changing QA assigned to pmock

Update: Regarding the scenario in this bug. Clarification: if you are in HTML format, the quoted text in the reply should have a blue bar before it. If you are in plain text format the quoted text in the reply should be ">". There is no documentation that this has changed from 4.x. Currenty, with builds 7/23 on win32 and linux this is still a bug. No quoting visible when reply is sent and received in either POP or IMAP.

Thank you Esther for updating the bug. In today Mac commercial seamonkey build 1999-07-28-08-m9, this problem also occurs.

Verified fixed on these platforms: Win32 seamonkey build 1999-08-30-10-m10 installed on Gateway P166 Win98 Linux seamonkey build 1999-08-30-01-m10 installed on Compaq P200 RedHat 6.0 MacOS seamonkey build 1999-08-30-09-m10 installed on G3/400 MacOS 8.6 The text is automatically quoted and the blue line does appear correctly. I tested the toolbar reply and reply all button as well as the reply and reply all menu items (located on the Messenger menu). I also tried replying to a replied message. It worked. In my testing, I was testing with simple rich text messages. Verified as resolved fixed. :)
