From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux 2.2.17 i686; en-US; rv:0.9.1+) Gecko/20010613
BuildID: 2001061321
I've followed the link above from a mozillazine.org page. The mozillazine.org
page vanishes and immediately the browser crashes.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Go to the URL
Actual Results: Crash. Messages:
Error loading URL http://members.tripod.lycos.nl/adm/popup/roadmap.shtml :
2152398850
/afs/ethz.ch/users/v/vandorpa/mozilla/mozilla/run-mozilla.sh: line 72: 2908
Segmentation fault $prog ${1+"$@"}
The browser doesn't crash opening the URL given in this error message. Could
this be related to the opening of a pop-up window? (Though opening a new window
with the bugzilla-helper works.)
Expected Results: Shouldn't crash
This page didn't crash with a few days old build, has to be something recently
introduced.
Hmm, it doesn't crash when I disable JavaScript. But then I'm not able to
install the theme... Clicking download and then cancel also crashes, even with
JavaScript disabled :( .
Ooops, I forgot to mention: I've used the gcc295 build. Now I've downloaded the
*sea.tar.gz build 2001061308 and there it doesn't happen. Either it is a gcc295
problem or the bug got introduced between 08:00 and 22:00 on the 13. June.
Linux 2001061508: Gordon's fix seems to have fixed this bug too.
