From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux 2.2.18 i686; en-US; rv:0.9.1) Gecko/20010607
BuildID: 2001060713
The above url is copied from the center frame of http://derstandard.at/
While loading, the two blocks defined by DIELINKE and DIEMITTE begin to be
displayed at the right place, then (when the right block is being rendered)
shifts way down and shifts back up when the page is finished. When loading the
original page (the center frame under
http://derstandard.at/dyn/aktuell/content.asp) it doesn't shift back up again.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.load page http://www.shopflyer.com/moztest/layout.html
2.look what happens
Actual Results: The first two absolutely-positioned DIV-blocks start being
rendered correctly, then shift down below the end of the right block, and
finally shift back up again
Expected Results: the blocks being rendered where specified and staying there

checked the site on NSCP trunk (2001102903) build and MSIE6.0, the site renders
the same on both, actually renders better in NSCP.

Still happens to me (2001102910 on Linux);
the newspaper's page is correct now, but with the copy I made earlier at
http://www.shopflyer.com/moztest/layout.html the problem remains (this is
invalid HTML, of course; but it works - much faster, btw. - with Netscape 4.x,
Opera, Konqueror, IE)

WFM. I don't see any shifting around during layout; the differences between NS
and IE are due to a bad JS manipulation. Resolving.

The problem still persists (Build 2003021008, Linux); it only doesn't shift back
up again now when loading is finished.
The symptom again: when loading http://www.shopflyer.com/moztest/layout.html,
the main part (article summaries) is rendered correctly and later shifts way
down (to where the right column ends), leaving lots of empty space in the center
of the page.
It's clear that the cause is incorrect HTML; the layout is ok in Opera 6,
Konqueror 3.0.5, IE 5.5 and 6.0, though.
I understand that this problem might not be worth being fixed since the real
cause is a faulty page; but it still doesn't work for me.

Mozilla 1.4a, Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4a)
Gecko/20030401. Windows XP
I see the behavior described in comment 8, as well.

With a current build I do not see the problem described in comment 8.. is it
still present?
