To reproduce: Start Mozilla 0.9.1 Go to http://www.mozilla.org/ Start Adobe Illustrator 9.0.2 Illustrator puts up a dialog box: Adobe Illustrator can't find a required plug-in and cannot run. Required plug-ins include: which then lists some plug-in names. The dialog box has a single button "Quit". Adobe Illustrator starts up just fine if Mozilla is not already running.
Ouch. This is nasty.

Ok, who's got Illustrator on a machine we can test on?
John, we need more info on the config of the Mac you're using. Are you running Mac OS 9.x or 8.x? If the latter, this is a known problem.
<guess>Open file limit issue. The report indicates 8.x. I'd go as far to guess that Adobe is failing to open one of the required plugins for that reason and therefore provides that error. MacsBug has an easy way to get this information ... The general (workaround) advice is to reduce the number of fonts you load. Of course the real problem is that moz leaves too many files open.</guess>
Or upgrade to Mac OS 9.x where the file limit is thousands rather than 384 is in Mac OS 8.6 and earlier
The "OS" field of bugzilla is filled in correctly. This is MacOS 8.5.
Marking WONTFIX. While plans are afoot to reduce the number of libraries that make up Mozilla we'll still be flirting with max file limit of Mac OS 8.6 and earlier. Mac OS 9.x makes the problem go away for all practical purposes.

Is this problem in the release notes?
*** Bug 83909 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
The System Requirements section of the release notes lists "Mac OS 8.6 or later". This apparently needs to be changed to "Mac OS 9.0 or later".
No, we support 8.6 but we need to document in the release notes, as sfraser mentioned. Something along the line of "If you're having problems running other apps at the same time as Mozilla/N6 you're running into a limitation of Mac OS 8.6 and earlier and you should upgrade to Mac OS 9.1." cc:'ing Steve Rudman who knows how to get this into the release notes
