(Whiteboard: [LAYER] [TOOL] [DREAMWEAVER ][bug248549notfixed])
From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; FreeBSD i386; en-US; rv:0.9.2+) Gecko/20010709
BuildID: July 8th daily build
Navigation menus appear in a column at the bottom of the page, instead of hiding
until mouse-over events in the menu titles trigger them.
The bug also manifests itself in this financial institution's Internet Banking
system, except that that facility doesn't display the menus in the column at the
bottom: Both the menu titles and their contents are totally missing from the
pages, rendering the net banking system almost totally useless. Netscape 4.7x
displays the pages just fine, thank you very much. I don't think I'll be giving
you my account number and password to trial that bit, though :-)
I've emailed them; they gave a PR-droid's "Thank you for your feedback"
response. That was two months ago. So I emailed them again and got the same
response. Sigh.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Visit http://www.savingsloans.com.au
2. Groan.
Actual Results: Menus botched.
Expected Results: navigation menus which appear as the mouse passes over menu
titles near the top of the screen; cf. Netscape, IE, just about anything else.
Sigh.

This page has Dreamweaver JS in it. However, it looks like it has been created
using Dreamweaver 4.0. Could they be lacking the N6 compat update?

Now the menus work, the demo of Internet Banking section works and other scripts
work ok. Seems that the page has been totally redesigned.
Seems fixed now.
However, if the real (non-demo) Internet Banking does not work, please reopen.

Sorry, checked in Netscape 7.1. Other gecko browsers other than Netscape do not
work properly there).
Sorry for the mess.

The menus of this site still don't render properly (although the website layout
has changed dramatically since the original bug was reported). In Firefox for
me, the top menus are all displayed down the LHS of the screen, and then the
internet banking log-in is at the very bottom of the screen (it should be top
left). See www.savingsloans.com.au in IE for how this page should be rendered -
this is the only page I use regularly which Firefox botches - would love to see
it fixed.

Ben, if you visit this site regularly, you can workaround this bug by making the
site believe you're using Netscape 7.1.
Open the about:config, and from the context menu add a new preference (String)
called "general.useragent.vendorComment" and set its value to "Netscape/7.1"
(without quotes). After that the menus should work ok.
The site sniffs for the "Netscape/7" string in the user agent instead of
checking browser's features (or at least sniffing for "Gecko").

Looks OK to me now with the latest Firefox 2 beta nightly build and in Epiphany with a 1.8.0 Gecko.
Resolving WFM, reopen if you still have problems.
