Right now, we only support album art when it's embedded in each file. Some people (read: me) prefer to store album art as a separate image file in the same folder. It would be nice if we supported this.
We could also expand this to store thumbnails of embedded album art as separate files, which would improve how we behave when we swap SD cards, since the thumbnails would be in the same storage location as the media.
Further, this might allow us to easily fix bug 831641, since we wouldn't have to worry about spending a lot of time extracting the album art from the music file.

See bug 1060331 for a use case to be considered.

I've been working on this in bug 841949 for what seems like forever.

As of today, if I have a "Cover.jpg" I get the cover art in the Music app. The only thing is that if it is not here when said music is initially imported, it will be ignored.
