I don't see any issues with the voice mail notification in the build 01.01.00.019.211.

Anshul, I suspect this bug is for 1.1.

Julien, yes I tested on 1.1 as the build number in my comment indicate. Although I haven't tested exact same build the customer might be using.

Did you use a DCS type voicemail with some words together?
Comment 28•11 years ago

anshul, sorry, I thought it was 1.0.1 because of the leading zero.
Can we have screenshots of the problem, as I suspect the problem is in Gaia ?

I do get a notification on the statusbar when sending a TP_DCS=D8h SMS to the emulator, and that notification disappears when I send TP_DCS=D0h SMS. Here are the TPDUs I used:
TP_DCS=D8h: 00000B915121551532F500D8000000000000000F3190BB7C07D9DFE971B91D4EB301
TP_DCS=D0h: 00000B915121551532F500D0000000000000000F3190BB7C07D9DFE971B91D4EB301
Besides, this test script runs with all successes. I'll test again with a real device later.

May I know your reproduce steps? Since the reproduce steps in description need a test machine.
And it would be great if you can provide a log.

Unless I'm misunderstanding this; In general, the voicemail icon does not display on the statusbar at all. I'm not sure how to replicate an identical hex to push the notification that is being used through emulation, but leaving a voicemail does not display an icon for voicemail. A notification banner does display though when a VM is first received.
Repro Steps:
1. Flash device to Buri 1.1 ComRil hamachi-mozilla-b2g18-20131009041203-ril01.01.00.019.250
2. Receive a call/voicemail from another device.
Actual Results:
No voicemail icon displays on the statusbar, however a notification is present on the pulldown notification shade.
Expected Results:
Voicemail icon to display on the statusbar as long as the voicemail is not dealt with by the user.

It is strange, I can not reproduce this issue in Taiwan(Both Unagi and Buri).
Can you please do following tests?
1. Make sure the voice mail of this SIM workable on other vendor's device.
2. Use another carrier's SIM to do this test in your firefox OS device.

I am seeing the same results as in comment 40 on Leo 1.1 Build ID 20131112041200. I made sure the voice mail of both SIM cards used was set up. (I used a T-mobile and an AT&T SIM) and I found that the notification of the voice mail appears, but once it disappears, there is no icon on the status bar. However, an icon is shown that there is a new voice mail via the pull down notification bar.

Wouldn't that imply that the this is working as expected? The bug as filed here is claiming that the voicemail icon is showing up when a new voicemail arrives.

Ah, now I understand the issue. A user is getting a notification of a new voicemail, but the notification icon doesn't show up after the notification drop down disappears.
This sounds like a system app issue then.

If I understand correctly this issue, I think a similar issue exists with with Bluetooth file transfers: there is a notification item in the panel, but the notification icon is not updated.
Should I file another bug?
