This was working in the last branch build but not in the trunk.

This is working in the latest trunk windows build (2001-08-02-03)

Yes, it does. Check with both carbon trunk and OS 9 trunk builds. Tested under Mac OS 9.1.

Sorry, I meant the problem DOES reproduce under OS 9.1. Not only a Mac OS X issue.

Yes, this happens with the classic trunk build (2001-08-02-08) under Mac OS 9.1.

do we know when this broke? this is a pretty serious regression for macos.

On 2001080110 (0.9.3 branch) on Mac OS 9.1, this site fails to show a background as well: http://www.cbs.com/primetime/bigbrother2/ (See bug 91510 for another bug for this site -- the chat room either fails to load at all or loads with a bunch of gibberish text such as < > etc.)

how about we track down the earliest this appeared on the trunk so we can watch that day's checkins?

Ok , I found were it began to first fail. Build 2001-07-02-04 trunk. Previous build which worked before 7/2 was 2001-06-29-14-trunk. Tested under Mac OS 9.1.
