The Comms team has not enough resources to do this in the 2.1 time frame.

Taking.. However there are a lot of controversial issues for SMS app that needs long discussions such as text direction detection and handling mixed RTL & LTR content.. Will attach a WIP patch for early feedback. :)

We have basically 2 issues: * make the main UI RTL-friendly * handle the messages content These 2 issues should be handled in 2 separate bugs.

Stephany, I just want to know if this is really due for v2.1. We never were aware of this and I think it will take some time to do it right and test properly, not to mention the risk to change the CSS. Even if Ahmed can do the hard work, the review time is not negligible either. I'm perfectly fine to target v2.2 for this, and work on a best-effort basis for v2.1. So I'd like to know what's the expectations here. Thanks.

Hi Julien - It's not due for 2.1 for engineering. UX needs to have the specs and RTL behaviors outlined in our Building Blocks and UX Patterns documentation before engineering can do this. 2.2 is fine. If Ahmed can do the work, great (I'm trying to offload app teams right now), but it will require review and it can land anytime. Sorry for any confusion!
