bug 79935 contains the details of the new UI feature, including an example
graphic from jglick which contains something like what's being sought here --
the remote addressbook icon with a red X through it...

Marlon, if you need any clarification, let me know. Basically, the directory
address book icon (modern and classic) with a red X to indicate they are
unavailable. :-)

NOt 0.9.4, but eMojo, which apparently has a UI freeze on 9/10.
