Steps To Reproduce: 1. Start Firefox with new profile 2. Open New Tab (Click +) --- observe Search field length in the new tab 3. Click "Hide the new tab page" button to hide the new tab page 4. Restart Browser 5. Open New Tab (Click +) 6. Click "Hide the new tab page" button to unhide the new tab page --- observe Search field length in the new tab Actual Results: Search field length does not consistent. Expected Results: Search field length should not change.

Verified as fixed on latest Nightly 20140430030201 under Ubuntu 32-bit and Win XP 32-bit. Will continue testing and investigate on other platforms and come back with the results.
Verified that the issue is fixed on Nightly 32.0a1 2014-05-01 under Win 7 64-bit, Ubuntu 64-bit and Mac OSX 10.9.2. The issue is still present on Aurora 31.0a2 2014-05-01. Shouldn't it be uplifted?
