When I have quicklaunch enabled, the hard drive trashes, often for 10 minutes,
before the program actually starts. When quicklaunch is not enabled, the program
starts in about 30 seconds. Disabled Quicklaunch during the program startup
(ie. disabling it from the menu next to the clock) will stop the trashing and
start the program up almost at once.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install with Quicklaunch off
2. Turn on quicklaunch from preferences.
3. Start up Mozilla from shortcut
Actual Results: Mozilla Took a long time to actually start up with quick lanuch
inabled.
Expected Results: It should have started faster then normal instead of slower

I've also seen quicklaunch slow down launches lately, although not by 10
minutes. (I'm pretty sure I'm using a faster machine, since you say your
launch time from scratch is 30 seconds, and mine is 5-10 seconds.)
This problem will probably be fixed when bug 99387 is fixed.
