I am also getting a crash on Mac OS X with the latest Java plugin (1.0d6).
The crashes are likely unrelated. However, I got a stern warning the first
time I visited the site saying that they don't support any version of
Netscape browsers because our version of Java is too old. This either
means they only support Java2, or JDK 1.1. The original MRJ plugin for
Mac OS 8 & 9 does support JDK 1.1 Java, and the new MRJ plugin for Mac
OS X supports Java2. So, this site should work with at least one of the
plugins, unless they are generating content that explicitly filters out these
browsers.

Strange content in the Asteroids page:
<applet align=absMiddle code=Asteroids.jar height=425 width=475
archive="classes.jar" codebase="/media/sp/atari/asteroids">
<param name="scale" value="1.9">
<param name="align" value="absMiddle">
<param name="code" value="Asteroids.class">
<param name="height" value="425">
<param name="width" value="475">
<param name="archive" value="classes.jar">
<param name="codeBase" value="/media/sp/atari/asteroids">
<param name=userid value="Guest">
<param name=gamename value="asteroids">
<param name=requestURI value="/playgames/post_sp_game_score.jsp">
<param name=minHighScore value="0">
</applet>
Typically the CODE attribute of an <APPLET> element is supposed to be of the
form "Asteroids.class" not "Asteroids.jar". This explains why the applet won't load.

The problems running this applet are probably a combination of incorrect HTML
(applet element problem already cited) and the use of SSL. This rewritten HTML
does run the applet.

This bug is targeted at a Mac classic platform/OS, which is no longer supported
by mozilla.org. Please re-target it to another platform/OS if this bug applies
there as well or resolve this bug.
I will resolve this bug as WONTFIX in four weeks if no action has been taken.
