I really like the ability to disable window.open() But it does pose some
problems (mainly limitations), so I would like to propose a few enhancements:
Why not allow users to disable it for all but sites in a list, or the inverse,
enable for all but sites on a list?
I know that I have a few sites where popups appear for navigation, and that is
necessary, but others are popup ads, and those are not necessary. So I think
the ability to grant sites permission is a good solution.
By default mozilla should be set to "ask user" and when it runs across a
window.open() it should ask if it should honor the popups for this site with an
option of "Yes Always" "This session only" and "Never" that way you get the
popups you need, and don't get the popups you don't. "This session only" is
good for if you don't know the site, you can choose without having to go back to
your list and delete a site from the preferences.
