I've set mozilla to open pdf files with xpdf, so I don't need it to pop up a dialog asking what I want to do with pdf files. So each time it does pop up a dialog I uncheck 'Always ask before opening this type of file'. Unfortunately this doesn't seem to do anything, and next time I click a link to a pdf file it pops up the same dialog with 'Always ask before opening this type of file' checked. Which is really quite annoying. I'm not sure this has ever worked, but certainly doesn't work in 2001091812. 'Ask me before opening downloaded files of this type' is also unchecked in the advanced dialog for application/pdf.
