Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/34.0.1847.137 Safari/537.36
Steps to reproduce:
normal function:open TB, delete a message, close TB.
Actual results:
The large file "global-messages-db.sqlite" in the TB profile directory is rebuilt after every small action in TB.
In systems with automatic backups its 30Mb+ are then backed-up hunderds of time during the day even when actions in TB are limited to deleting unwanted messages only.
Expected results:
It would be preferable that minimum activity in TB reflects into comparable small changes in files updated in the profile directory. So that backups becomes nearly realtime.

by design and definition the database will grow in size, and won't change. but changing the location could help some users, and noted in bug 535137
