Calendar Month Short-form Copy Typo

The months in Calendar are short-formed when there's room to display full word. It's bad enough in the header, but when you click on a specific event and it reads "Monday, Jun 2" it looks like a typo.

Sabrina, I'm asking feedback from Peko and Harly. They did the UX/design for the calendar app visual refresh. The only file that needs to be updated is the L10n (apps/calendar/locales/calendar.en-US.properties), it's a trivial change.

Note for anyone triaging this - I think this is long standing issue after we switched over to short month names, not a regression.

Yes, it is not a regression. It is following the design specs (https://bug951069.bugzilla.mozilla.org/attachment.cgi?id=8415024). - Maybe in other locales the copy doesn't fit the whole area, but agree that in English it would fit the whole month name. Sabrina, why did you mark this bug as blocking 1016987? I don't see why this would block the "fuzzy graphics" since it is not an icon/image.

In Canada and US we can fit the whole month name in the header - or if we must use short-forms, use proper short-forms. Example: September shortens to Sept., not Sep. However, in all languages, we can fit the entire month name in the events body copy. See attachment.

Apologies, I was filing fuzzy icon bugs and must have gotten in the habit of blocking bugs this way. I've removed it, thanks for the heads up!

Hi Sabrina, I have checked on the iPhone, they also use "Monday Jun 2, 2014" in day view as you see in the attached image, so is it OK to say using Jun for abbreviating June?
