User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.9; rv:32.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/32.0 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20140529113510
Steps to reproduce:
- Open OS X nightly.
- Choose Nightly > Preferences ... (see new tab titled Nightly Preferences)
- Click on "Privacy" entry in sidebar (see privacy panel)
- click "remove individual cookies" link (see modal dialog slide down from top of screen).
- Can't find any way to close modal dialog! I see no close box, and clicking outside of the modal dialog does not make it go away. I can't click on other tabs, and the menu bar contains only the "Nightly" menu. I can quit, but that's about it.
Actual results:
See individual steps.
Expected results:
I expected to be able to close the "clear individual cookies" modal dialog without quitting Firefox Nightly.

Do you mean the modal dialog which slides down when clicking on Exceptions? That one can be closed by hitting ESC, but yes it might be good to have a button here.

Jared, are we planning to ship this with 32? If so, I think we should probably fix this (and any other pref dialogs that have this issue with in-content prefs...)

No, with in-content prefs, if you have history set to "Nightly will remember history", there's an in-text link to "Remove individual cookies". With in-content prefs, the dialog that used to be a dialog is now a sheet, which means it needs a close/OK/Done button.

Gijs, we are only planning on shipping in-content prefs when it is ready for release. Please see bug 1014201 for our list of blockers.
Work has begun on moving the various modal dialogs to in-content, which will fix this.
