User Story
As a New User of Marketplace that has neither a FxAccount nor Persona MP account, when I perform a task in Marektplace that requires me to be logged in, I should be able to create a new FxAccount and continue with my task as a logged in user to Firefox Accounts. As this user, I will get support or look for further information about Firefox Accounts on - Sumo / MDN / What is Firefox Accounts? Expected: User goes through the entire registration flow: dob, email, email verification, password, TOS/Privacy Policy. They can find a way to access more info on FxAccounts Impacted Users: Marketplace gets 10,000/mth new registered users

+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #1017239 +++
Use Case:
At start user is not logged in and performs a task (review, purchase) that requires login with the conditions:
No existing Firefox Account
No existing Marketplace Persona Account
Expected Results
1. User creates a new Firefox Account with user name and password. (no birthday selector screen since on device). Verification email is sent to the user.
2. User is now waits for email to be verified. (User needs to verify the email to continue OR exit in which case FXA3-FXA6 would continue this.)
3. Upon verification of Firefox Account email, FxAccount email is checked to see if that email address exists already in Marketplace from Persona-based ID. In this case (no), a new MP account is created. (This is invisble to the end user).
4. user is logged into FxAccounts on the device, and continues task.
Test Conditions:
1. Should not have an existing persona account (or not use that email address).
2. Visit Marketplace without being logged in on a device
3. purchase an app (or leave a review)
4. create a new fx account an verify it
5. continue on with task

chris -
as per the user story above - is there an info page where consumers can look to get more info on firefox accounts? or should a user go to SUMO or MDN?
hoping for something pre-existing.

There's not an existing "product" page about Firefox Accounts, primarily because it's not considered a product in itself, and up until now it only powers Sync.
FWIW, here are the corresponding instructions on how to setup Firefox Sync w/ FxA:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-set-up-firefox-sync
They are very Sync oriented and only lightly mention FxA.
I expect a similar SUMO page for Marketplace login with FxA would be appropriate. Going forward, it would make sense to have a "How to log into Mozilla services" page, but that would require consensus about how FxA UX is presented on relying services (positioning, button styles, copy, etc). I'll keep dreaming.

On Android, it prompted me for YOB (see attached).

When I click a verification link in the email that has already been clicked, instead of our "account verified" message again, the user gets: /fxa-authorize?error=3005 which shows the Marketplace progress indicator endlessly.

We are legally required to ask for ages on all FXA creations that aren't FTE. David's YOB comments above about asking for YOB are WONTFIX.
