Details
(Whiteboard: [dupeme])
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:29.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/29.0 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20140428193838
Steps to reproduce:
I tried downloading a file using firefox say 140 MB. The disk I tried to save the file on had only say 130 MB space left. When download reached 129 MB. It failed silently.
Actual results:
The download of a file larger than the space left on the disk fails silently.
Expected results:
Firefox should atleast convey to user the reason of failure. instead of "Failed" message on the Download manager.
"Failed" may mean connection issues due to my modem, server I tried to download data hung up and what not. There should be a good reason for not showing more user friendly message in download manager. I hope I just don't know it yet. If this's the case, please enlighten me.
