seen on builds: windows 2001-10-05-06-trunk linux 2001-10-05-08-trunk mac 2001-10-05-04-trunk there are a few methods to reproduce this 1) -go to My Sidebar | Tabs | Customize sidebar the two panes in this dialogue box are blank. They should have lists of avalable tabs. or 2) -log into IM from Tasks | Instant Messanger the buddy list online and setup tabs are blank. They should have lists of buddies. note: the sidebar buddy list works fine (this is a workaround for IM use) or 3} -open Sidebar | What's related tab the field is blank. It should list related sites to the displayed page. this is a smoketest blocker for methods 1 and 3. if these are not related, I'll break this out into three bugs. Let me know.

confirming, I see the problem in today's 10/5 trunk.

Helper apps in pref on linux is blank as well. Could that be related?

sidebar hasn't changed in quite some time, with helper app pref list not showing up, I'm beginning to suspect a problem relating to RDF because that's how the helper app prefs are stored as are sidebar panels

When I ran my commercial build today, I see a 'missiong entity' error in my profile/panels.rdf file. The missing entity was related to the seamonkey-ports tinderbox panel. Maybe related?

Resizing the Customize Sidebar window makes the left pane appear.

Also in search sidebar the engine list does not populate. They are getting created as nodes but all there childnodes do not exist. I would also suspect RDF.

Opening the "customize sidebar" dialog always give me this in the JS console: Error: panel has no properties Source File: chrome://communicator/content/sidebar/sidebarOverlay.js Line: 942
