After much discussion and spiking, we've decided to switch to React.js for our view infrastructure. This is the meta bug to cover that work.

Strictly speaking, this blocks a lot of the bugs that block loop_mvp, but chasing down all these dependencies would be a big waste of time, so I'm just marking this as blocking loop_mvp.

Regarding landing the react js library file, it's so large that I think it would deserve landing as a first separate patch; though it wouldn't make much sense to land this alone without any use of it… Thoughts?

I would suggest one patch for the react js library (and maybe the addition of it to jar.mn), and then the second patch to implement the first part of react.
We can land them both at the same time in different csets.

The only bug remaining here is bug 1062959 - which is how to deal with production items.
I think we can track that on its own, this bug is fixed - we're completely on react views now.
