Details
I've configured messenger's SMTP server to not user name/pwd (Mail/News
prefs->Outgoing Server->Use Name and Password isn't checked.)
I also use SMTP over SSL.
When I try to send a Word or Excel document, I get a dialog from Netscape 6 mail
requesting name/pwd.
Then, if I haven't already in my session, I need to enter some device pwd to
retrieve my cert and select my cert. If I identify myself to the SMTP server
with a certificate, I shouldn't have to do it with name/pwd, which is the
behavior when I normally send an email from messenger (I don't get prompted for
name/pwd).
In my opinion the behavior should be the same when sending an email using simple
mapi and messenger stand alone.

the simple mapi guys got rid of the mapi dialog. I checked that patch in for
them last night. Marking this bug a dup of that.
