In Shumway privacy review bug 886680 comment 21, bsmedberg recommends "making the data reporting system protected to *@mozilla.com for now (using Persona is fine). If you've got volunteers who are helping analyze this data, we can talk about ways to either anonymize it or work with them to get trusted access to it."
