User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:28.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/28.0 (Beta/Release) Build ID: 20140319112331 Steps to reproduce: (this is a feature request) Expected results: Request for enhancement: since a mail client is also an archive, interesting functionalities include any gestures used for archiving. Among these, the possibility to annotate mail bodys (as we would in real life do with higlighter pens or sticky notes) strikes me as a fundamental safeguard against loss of information. Such a feature would be long to implement but would fast become a key search and navigation functionality in everyday archive digging/organizing tasks of this age of web semantics and big data. Practically, this implies the ability to add, edit, display, store and index a sort of "user notes" (eg annotations, highlighted texts, category tags) referencing any given mail fragment (defined for instance by selecting the text in message reader UI).
