Those are 2 different domains, while they might redirect to each other, we can't know that, thus we can't de-duplicate it (this is not just google, there are millions of domains who might do the most fancy things). The fact we complete to search engines is a wanted new feature. Fwiw you can disable search engines autoFill by adding a bool pref browser.urlbar.autoFill.searchEngines set to false in about:config (from today's Nightly on, it won't work on earlier versions) For the above reasons, unfortunately this is a wontfix.
