https://www.iana.org/assignments/language-subtag-registry/language-subtag-registry includes a Suppress-Script entry for many languages to document the script that is generally used for writing that language. Our langGroups.properties seeks to map languages to scripts, too.
Before I gave up comparing the lists visually, I noticed that at least the following Latin-script languages are missing a mapping in langGroups.properties:

mo
frr
frs
gsw
men
nds
We should systematically check for languages that have a script mapping in the IANA registry but not in langGroups.properties and add entries to langGroups.properties for those languages.
