Bug 612453 added search suggestions to the about:home search field based on previous searches. But it is not possible to remove entries (for example because of a typo). It's possible to remove entries via the search field in the toolbar but I think that this is not obvious for every user.

If you highlight a suggestion with blue text and then hit the delete key (delete, not backspace), the suggestion should be deleted.  Suggestions with black text are from the search provider and can't be deleted.  Does that not happen?  e.g.,

1. Search for foobar
2. Go back to about:home
3. Type foo
4. Press the down arrow key until foobar with blue text is highlighted
5. Press delete

foobar should be deleted and should not appear with blue text again.

Regardless of whether that's working for you as intended, it's not at all obvious, I agree.

Since it is possible to remove previous searches (a.k.a. form history) from the suggestions popup (comment 1), I'll morph this bug to be about the fact that it's not discoverable.

We had a concept for the awesomebar, where you could right-click on an entry and then perform actions on it (Remove, Open in new tab etc.).

I think this is about as visible as we should make this functionality.

Items to include in context menus for the autocomplete items would probably be something like
- Remove suggestion
- Open search in new Tab

Also with Activity Stream it's still an issue. Is there a better meta ticket where I can add this ticket? Or should this be reported on GitHub?
