Description: When you watch a video using RTSP the audio and video become out of sync. this is noticable around 45 seconds in but the problem gets worse the longer the video goes on. Repro Steps: 1) Update a Flame device to BuildID: 20140808000201 2) Go to RTSP streaming site (see notes) 3) Search "Five minute sync test" 4) play video 5) Observe audio and video Actual: Audio and video become out of sync as video plays Expected: it is expected that the audio and video are in sync Environmental Variables: Device: Flame 2.0 (319mb) BuildID: 20140808000201 Gaia: 8d4599d18fbfc41f88ea494ab9cce0bb99cffac3 Gecko: aad73d079368 Version: 32.0 (2.0) Firmware: V123 User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Mobile; rv:32.0) Gecko/32.0 Firefox/32.0 Notes: I checked video streaming on the youtube site in the phone browser and it did not become out of sync. RTSP site: http://mozilla.github.io/qa-testcase-data/Video/youtubeRTSPURLSearch.html Repro frequency: 100% See attached: video clip(http://youtu.be/WUsmyjxf4a4), logcat
This issue occurs on 2.1 Flame (512mb), 2.1 Buri, 2.0 Flame (319mb) and 2.0 Buri. Environmental Variables: Device: Flame 2.1 Master (319mb) BuildID: 20140808040304 Gaia: c45627132ae7f00026e361a14d5d084a1236af24 Gecko: 18f408a5984e Version: 34.0a1 (2.1 Master) Firmware: V123 User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Mobile; rv:33.0) Gecko/33.0 Firefox/33.0 Device: Flame 2.0 (512mb) BuildID: 20140808000201 Gaia: 8d4599d18fbfc41f88ea494ab9cce0bb99cffac3 Gecko: aad73d079368 Version: 32.0 (2.0) Firmware: V123 User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Mobile; rv:32.0) Gecko/32.0 Firefox/32.0 Device: Buri Master Build ID: 20140807193101 Gaia: c45627132ae7f00026e361a14d5d084a1236af24 Gecko: 18f408a5984e Version: 34.0a1 (Master) Firmware Version: v1.2device.cfg User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Mobile; rv:34.0) Gecko/34.0 Firefox/34.0 Device: Buri 2.0 Build ID: 20140808003002 Gaia: 8d4599d18fbfc41f88ea494ab9cce0bb99cffac3 Gecko: aad73d079368 Version: 32.0 (2.0) Firmware Version: v1.2device.cfg User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Mobile; rv:32.0) Gecko/32.0 Firefox/32.0 Result: Audio and video become out of sync as video plays ----------------------------------------------------------------- This issue did not occur on 1.4 Flame (319mb) and 1.4 Buri because RTSP is not supported. Environmental Variables: Device: Flame 1.4 (319mb) Build ID: 20140808063002 Gaia: 2b2849a61cd38e909ed1c3e4586d104bc96f7001 Gecko: 931bf8651711 Version: 30.0 (1.4) Firmware Version: v123 User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Mobile; rv:30.0) Gecko/30.0 Firefox/30.0 Device: Buri 1.4 BuildID: 20140808063002 Gaia: 2b2849a61cd38e909ed1c3e4586d104bc96f7001 Gecko: 931bf8651711 Version: 30.0 (1.4) Firmware: v1.2device.cfg User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Mobile; rv:30.0) Gecko/30.0 Firefox/30.0 Result: RTSP is not supported.

Can we try this on Android and the desktop? This was reported before. Read the comments in bug 965052

This issue is occurring on the youtube website at the smallest resolution and on android devices through the RTSP site. On the youtube website the video would be synced back up periodically so it is harder to notice the audio/video discrepancy.
