This bug is filed so that when Sun release a modified JRE1.3.1 publicly, its behavior should match the workaround solution Netscape has put in for its own JRE1.3.1 distribution. See Bug 100800 for details. (Cf Bug 103926). This is per agreement with Sun OJI rep. Who should do what: 1. Sun representative should indicate in this bug that a new modified JRE 1.3.1 has been released. 2. QA will then check to see if the modified JRE 1.3.1 behaves the same as the workaround fixes put in by Netscape in its JRE 1.3.1 installer for 0.9.4 branch release.
QA contact to teruko since she verified Bug 100800.

Changed summary
Summary: Re-test JRE1.3.1 to re-confirm the workaround for Bug 100800 → Re-test JRE1.3.1 to re-confirm the workaround for Bug 100880
Work around worked in JRE 1.3.1. And, the original bug 100880 was fixed in JRE 1.4.0_01. I marked this as fixed.
