Since the email in question contains confidential information, an attachment can
be viewed in bugscape bug http://bugscape/show_bug.cgi?id=10570 . So please
leave this open so the Mozilla community is aware of the problem...
Here is the description I posted in bugscape:
Using N620 branch build 20011015 on Windows NT:
I'm not sure exactly what's going on here, but I receieved an email today from
mstoltz and was not able to reply to it. Instead, I got this message after
clicking the reply button:
Composer cannot edit HTML framesets, or pages with inline frames. For
framesets, try editing the page for each frame separately. For pages with
iframes, save a copy of the page and remove the <iframe> tab.
When I click ok in that massage dialog, the reply window is closed.
I understand what the message is telling me, but in this case, I didn't know if
the email itself was the problem or the webpage attached was the problem.

*** Bug 125595 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
Also happens on windows98 using a nightly build from 17 May 2002
(and i had to retype this post because the back button has crapped out, Mozilla
is falling apart because i am using 2 versions on the same machine with the same
profile)
On any page with frames, hit ctrl+E to Edit it in Composer. You get the
following error message:
Composer cannot edit HTML framesets, or pages with inline frames. For
framesets, try editing the page for each frame seperately. For pages with
iframes, save a copy of the page and remove the <iframe> tag. [ OK ]
When you hit the OK button mozilla will crash.

I encountered this problem today. It is huge:
1) because the message is confusing and shared with Composer; it should be a
mail-specific dialogue
2) because it is broken functionality and blocks you from replying to the mail
at all.
Ideas:
- Give the user the choice to continue without the message included (ie: This
message contains content that you cannot include in a message reply. Do you
wish to continue? yes/no)
or
- (better) Attach the framed content, rather than showing it inline.
Using 6/12 branch.

This is probably a dup of bug 105556, but I'm making it a dependency instead, in
case there are other mail-specific issues which need to be handled.
Component: Editor: Composer → Composition
Depends on: 14156
Product: Browser → MailNews
Version: Trunk → other
The message attached to the bugscape bug can be viewed and replied to with
commercial trunk build 20021216 on winxp and linux. I don't see that it's been
fixed. And I haven't tested the dup bugs because they are in the composer.
Sujay can you test those bugs to see if they work too.
