I noticed that our doorhangers needed some love so I'm filing this meta bug to keep track of all the different updates.
I imagine priority for something like this to be fairly low but I think if we keep this just for visual tweaks it could be a quick win. Also, just wanted to file something to keep track of it.
Comments, questions, feedback welcome :)

All of the bugs here (with the exception of bug 1088220) are actually about updating the site identity popup. Maybe we should make the focus of this effort about the site identity popup, and if we update some shared popup styles along the way, doorhanger notifications will also benefit.
I also feel I should clarify that there are two different things that look the same:
1) Site identity popup: This is where we display site information, mixed content blocking notifications, and tracking blocking notifications. The user can get to this by clicking the site security icon or favicon.
2) Doorhanger poup: This is where we display general site notifications for things like saving your password, sharing your location, etc. These are ephemeral, and once the user dismisses them, they're gone forever. Unlike desktop, there is no icon that these are anchored to where you can get them back. We punted on this in their initial implementation (see bug 700437), but this is a pain point that could be good to fix.

Yeah, I understand. I'm fine with that too. But I will definitely be looking to share as much as I can in terms of visuals and interactions as these "notifications" can still feel related to the user. There will be differences but only if it serves a purpose.

Updating this bug to foucs on the site identity popup. I'll file another bug for the doorhanger notification issues we have lumped in here.

Desktop side is talking about updating this a little, so I took the liberty of adopting the same content for our new layout. Here's what it might look like..
