STR: 1) uninstall adobe products related to pdf handling 2) set firefox as the default handler for pdfs 3) make sure pdf.js is enabled 4) open nightly and minimize the browser window 5) via an email, desktop, or some other 3rd party app, double click on a pdf result: nightly will load the pdf in the background, remaining minimized or deactivated on the desktop. expected: the browser window should restore/activate

Jim, does this still reproduce for you? I didn't follow your exact STR, but at least opening PDFs via Right Click...Open With successfully restores Firefox from being minimized.

Even with Reader installed you can test by doing the following: 1) open Default Programs and set .pdf to Firefox or Nightly instead of Reader. 2) open Firefox, minimize the window 3) double click on a pdf

Talked to Jim on IRC and he said that this has probably never worked, so removing the regression keywords from the bug.

Verified that by opening a PDF file from desktop while Firefox is minimised will restore the window with the loaded PDF as expected. Tests were performed on Firefox 106.0 and Firefox 107.0a1 (2022-10-11) under macOS 13, Windows 11 and Ubuntu 22.04.
