This should be doable with a two finger swipe. For this to work, the view needs to listen to wheel events.

How can I test how the application works on a screen reader?

You could do that by enabling the sceen reader section in the dev section in settings, and then going to accessibility->screen reader in settings. 2. or you activate it by pressing volume up down in succession 6 times. The screen reader will override direct touches to the screen, so it will change the behavior of your device.
