This works as expected on 2.1 - but without any animation back to the active app. So it appears as if the currently-centered app is being opened, but then it switches out for the active app. This animation is confusing - for 2.1, tapping on home when in the task manager should just take the user home, as per 2.0. What do you think, Eric?

Hey Francis, I'm seeing what Sam has described. When I tap the home button the current app I'm on opens not my active app. I think tapping home in the task manager should just bring the user home for 2.1. I think it's the least confusing and what would be expected.

Just a status update: Until we can smoothly scroll over to the active app in the task strip, we are going with the alternate behavior in which the home button always opens the homescreen from the task manager - in 2.1 and 2.2. Leaving this open so we can re-evaluate when bug 945584 lands.

I guess no point in tracking this any longer ...
