Running Mandrake 8.0 and mozilla 0.9.5-1. I can get the headers from the subscribed news source but when I click on any header, nothing happens - mozilla does not go back to the source and download the message and does not un-highlight the "read" status.

worksforme using a trunk nightly build (2001-10-30-12) on an out-of-the-box RedHat 7.2 install (with Ximian Gnome). If you try a nightly build and a new profile and it still doesn't work, re-open this. (It could just be a bad packaging error?).

This still worksforme with a 2001-11-01-12 binary from ftp.mozilla.org. Duaine, please report back in this bug report once you've tried a new nightly build, thanks.

I just setup the news groups on "root" user and it works. When I click on a news header, it gets the message body and display the message. There seems to be a trend in functionality of root and non-root users. Also, see bug 101271 -- in composer, the "Open" button will work on root but not on non-root user.
