If you wave the mouse over these bars, the different texts (corresponding to each bar) flash. The response time is a small fraction of a second using Netscape 4.77 on Linux. Under Mozilla, the "flashing" is perhaps 50X slower -- it takes over 1 second for each Javascript-generated change to appear after moving the mouse to a new menu bar. This might not necessarily be a bug in the Javascript engine, e.g. if the input events are being throttled somewhere upstream. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Go to http://www.uspto.gov/ 2.Wave the mouse over the 5 blue menu bars on the left side. Notice the long response time (> 1 second) to switch between menu descriptions. 3.Do the same under Netscape 4.77 (bring up a simultaneous process). Notice the near-instaneous response to the same waving.
