This just started happening in the past week or so.
When switching tabs, I sometimes get artifacts of the old tab showing up on top of the new tab (it looks like it's not invalidating the full content area), as well as this happening in chrome as well (see the tab screenshot).
Sometimes it happens that nothing from the old tab gets cleared, and I have to click on a different tab then come back to the tab that I wanted to see to force it to invalidate.

Perhaps related to bug 1077636.
This is pretty much what I've been seeing for months, it's being tracked in bug 1067470.

As for bug 1077636, I've never any flickering.
