I think Issue 2. is by our design. Issue 1. needs audio owner to check.

Video app should follow the design of music app. Need information video app expert - John.

Sorry, I don't follow you. What design of music app?

Video app just calls [video element].play() and doesn't do anything about volume. This issue seems relating to audio competing.

I remember there is an old bug which commented the behavior. During the in-call mode, Music player will not be able to play any music. So I guess video app may do the same thing.

Thanks Shawn, and yes, Bug 946556 has disabled the music playback controls while SCO is connected, it was ux decision so I also think the video app should does this same thing.

The UX decision was made by Jacqueline and Harly, and now Jenny owns the audio competing ux, let's flag her to help, Jenny, would you please give some inputs on this? thanks.

Thanks Jenny, I have filed bug 1083112 and let's trace and fix the ui part if people want a same fix as the music player did.
Dupe was made 2.1+ so I'm marking this one 2.1+ as well in case they're un-duped in the future.
