Windows 10 OS, TB version 60.7.0
All contacts with additional email address, do not show the star as coloured.
In Address Book, contact Edit, need to remove and add again additional email address to contact details and then restart Thunderbird to see 'additional' emails showing a coloured star in sent and received emails.
In Write window, Contacts Sidebar, you have the option to display 'Name' and 'Email', but name is not duplicated to show 'additional email', so unable to select any contact's additional email via this method.
Workaround: You have to add the contact a second time, as if a new contact, in Address Book with 'additional Email' set up as primary 'Email' in order to use Contact Sidebar selection.
In a 'To' field, start to type name and additional email is offered in drop down selection. So not an issue in this area.
However, person on Support Forum posted 31st May 2019:

Windows 7 OS, had no issues until they updated to version 60.7.0
Now, all additional email addresses are not recognised and restart does not fix.

The From field (within the message pane) shows a white star with the "Add to Address Book" alternate text (see the message.png image from the contact-and-message.zip attachment) - Thunderbird does not recognize the From e-mail address (Additional Email) as known.
