User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:32.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/32.0.3 Waterfox/32.0 Build ID: 20141008010346 Steps to reproduce: Hi guys: I’m not sure which version as I have had to install Waterfox so I could use the browser, but I presume it’s v. 33 or v. 34—whichever was updated for Windows on October 31, 2014 (30th in the US). Steps to reproduce: go to websites. Facebook was the main one. Actual results: Put simply, some fonts do not display. This means Facebook is blank other than graphics, there is text missing from Tumblr, etc. My own company’s web page (http://jyanet.com—and please excuse the ancient appearance!) is also blank other than graphics. Fonts that are linked (or “embedded”) are all right, but some fonts that are default do not appear. Expected results: Type should appear on the page. Many years ago, a similar fault occurred but it was to do with Postscript fonts. This could be related, but as far as I can tell, it’s not just Postscript affected, as I’m sure these pages call TrueType and OpenType ones on this system.
Hi guys: an update here. It appears to be a repeat of this bug, although instead of boxes I am getting nothing at all. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=628091
It's related to OMTC, try to disable it in about:config (layers.offmainthreadcomposition.enabled=false).
