User Story

As a link clicker in Firefox, I want the UX to inform me that I can also start creating conversations using the browser feature.

Hi Sevaan, do you have ideas around this? Perhaps a door hanger appearing on the Hello button when link clickers on Firefox end a call?

One other idea (but not as strong as your door hanger one, which is great): After the users first call, instead of just receiving the feedback form, users would receive some Hello feature promotion (with a minimized "How was your call?" at the bottom). We could revert back to the feedback form for calls afterwards.

It feels that the door hanger would help pointing to the user to the browser feature directly. Also it seems like a good fit for the tour API given that this door hanger would be actionned from the https://hello.firefox.com/ domain only - probably aligned with the whitelisting requirement to access the tour API. I copy Holly to the bug so she's aware of the discussion.
moving out to 39 as there is nothing actionable for implementation. if other UX design priorities get done early and the UX/PM discussions happen. Shell can open implementation bug when UX is closed - just need info me.

CCing Arcadio for awareness as we discussed this yesterday. Arcadio, do you have any views/recommendations here WRT messaging in order to inform Firefox link clickers that they too can start creating conversations?

Thanks for filing the bug. I think the door hanger is the most visible way to catch someone's attention but we have be mindful of when and how often we deploy it. One thing to consider here is timing. Through Holly's UX work we are delivering Hello messaging (Try me, Find me) through the /whatsnew and /firstrun onboarding tours. These tours will land with Fx 36. By timing, I mean we should be able to define *when* a user gets this reminder. And also how often. We should meet with the product UX team to determine timing. Here are some moments when I think we can remind our audience of Hello and how to interact with it. First time usage (We noticed you haven’t used Hello yet. Would you like to…) Repeat usage (You tried it once. Try it again) Habitual usage (We noticed you use Hello a lot. Create FxA account and import your contacts) Happy to meet and keep this project going.

depends on what design team comes back with - this is blocked until updated. RT will update Rank when there's updates.
