what's the priority and target for this one? The dependency bug indicates that
this is targetted for 098. what are the chances that this will make it?

I want to keep tracking some of the bugs attached to this meta bug, but none of
them are required for Mozilla 1.0 so I'm futuring.

So, would it be fair to say, that we have landed the work required per the MachV
PRD PRD A.2 item?

That is what I was trying to say.

I'm a bit confused. Per comment #3 and comment #4, we have landed the work
required for PRD A.2 but bug 110875 and bug 110877 are both dependencies on this
bug and are still open and marked NEW. I thought we wanted this in the 1.0
release, and now it has been futured. Please advice. Thanks-a-bunch!

Although we will eventually address the two remaining open bugs, we are willing
to ship without doing so. Both bugs say that we want to eliminate the
requirement to shut down the browser. We have moved that need to a point after
the download and are taking some other steps to make it easy on the user. That
is minimally acceptable. So the feature is in and desirable enhancements are
noted for future development.

not really sure what this bug is about.
"Eliminate the need for users to find where they have downloaded the stub
installer by launching it for them."
doesn't really make sense to me. Download with what? With mozilla? If that isn't
it just the launch file dialog in the download file dialog?

Here is another description of this bug that might help: We want the installer
to launch from a website with a single click, as opposed to requiring that the
user download the stub, locate where it was saved and launch it from there.
This bug tracks issues related to wrapping the installer stub in a .xpi that
will download and launch it in a single step.

I closed 110875 as invalid. I'm not sure what the Mac requirements are (or are
not) at this time so I'll leave 110877 open but am closing this meta-bug as no
longer useful.

Verified. Per Curt, bug 110877 is considered resolved for MachV purposes. He's
just tracking some clean up issues now.
